Lens Basics
The PassiveLogic® Lens™ app is designed to make it easy to create accurate 3D architectural digital twin models of buildings in real time. Within the application, you can view and manage portfolios, buildings, floors, and detailed building information.
Lens setup tips
- Make sure you have a compatible iOS device with the latest version of Lens installed. For device requirements, see “Recommended devices”. When you launch Lens for the first time, it will ask you for permission to use your iOS device location and Bluetooth functionality (permission to access the camera, speech recognition, and microphone will be requested later during scanning). You must grant access to all for the app to function as expected.
- Before you start scanning, set up your building portfolio in Lens. For detailed setup instructions, see “Working with portfolios and buildings.”
- For an introduction to the Lens application and interface, see the Lens Quick Reference guide.
Working with portfolios and buildings
When you open Lens for the first time, you will be required to complete some preliminary project setup steps (create a portfolio and a building), before you can do any scanning. To launch Lens, follow the instructions in the Apple TestFlight App to install the app, tap Open, then sign in with your PassiveLogic account. For information about creating your account and installing the Lens app, see “Getting Lens for Early Access.”
